Providing Virtual Sessions & In-Person Sessions in Montclair, NJ
Welcome to Bloom Psychological & Wellness Consulting, LLC, a space for individuals who are used to holding it all together but are ready for something to feel different.
You may be navigating high expectations at work, shifts in your personal life, or the emotional weight of infertility, pregnancy, or postpartum changes. You might also be in environments that require you to stay focused, resilient, and consistently “on.” Even when things appear “together” from the outside, something internally may feel more demanding or heavier than expected.
I understand that the decision to begin therapy is not always easy, especially when you’re used to managing things on your own or pushing through challenges. Choosing to start this process is an act of courage, self-awareness, and a willingness to approach your well-being differently.
My work is grounded in supporting you as you make sense of what you’re carrying, develop a deeper understanding of yourself, and move toward a more sustainable and fulfilling way of living, one that allows for both effort and restoration, and a stronger sense of balance over time.

Approach to Wellness
Dr. Forbes takes a thoughtful, collaborative approach to therapy, grounded in trust, respect, and genuine connection. She creates a space where clients can slow down, reflect, and explore their experiences without the pressure to perform, produce, or have everything figured out.
Her work integrates insight-oriented and evidence-based approaches, helping clients better understand patterns, process complex experiences, and develop more sustainable ways of navigating their lives. This includes finding a healthier balance between effort and recovery, building self-awareness beyond roles or achievements, and supporting long-term well-being, not just short-term coping.
Dr. Forbes is deeply committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. She approaches her work with cultural awareness and humility, recognizing the importance of identity, lived experience, and context. She strives to create a space where clients feel understood, respected, and able to show up fully as themselves.
Culture & Identity
Dr. Forbes approaches therapy with an understanding that identity and lived experience shape how individuals move through the world, and how they experience stress, relationships, and well-being.
She has particular experience supporting women of color and individuals navigating spaces where identity, visibility, and expectations intersect. This may include being one of few in professional environments, carrying unspoken pressures, or managing how you are perceived while also navigating your internal experience.
Her work is grounded in cultural awareness and humility, creating space for clients to explore these dynamics openly and without judgment.
